GoAmigo

Building a Scalable On-Demand Delivery Platform for Riders

Ingenuity helped GoAmigo turn a mission-driven delivery concept into a live mobile and cloud platform, simplifying rider workflows while connecting merchants, operations teams, and real-time logistics through a scalable product foundation.

The challenge

GoAmigo set out to build an on-demand delivery platform that could create accessible self-employment opportunities for Filipino riders while supporting the operational needs of merchants and administrators. The product had to work for users with very different levels of digital confidence and still perform reliably in the fast-moving conditions of last-mile delivery.

Riders needed to understand assignments, delivery status, earnings, and next actions quickly while on the move. Merchants and operations teams needed real-time coordination. Mobile applications, backend services, and the web operations environment all had to remain synchronized as daily usage grew.

The central challenge was therefore to hide operational complexity behind a simple experience. The platform needed to reduce cognitive load for riders without weakening the reliability, observability, and system coordination required behind the scenes.

Our approach

Ingenuity partnered with GoAmigo across product design and engineering, treating usability, operational clarity, and system resilience as one connected delivery problem.

The team simplified core rider journeys, clarified task and status information, and worked toward consistent behavior across mobile platforms. Iterative design was informed by the practical reality that many users would be first-time digital workers who could not be expected to learn a complicated logistics interface before becoming productive.

At the same time, Ingenuity strengthened the technical and delivery environment. The work included scalable cloud services, native mobile applications, continuous delivery practices, performance monitoring, and clearer collaboration between business stakeholders, Ingenuity, and other development contributors.

The solution

Simplified rider workflows

Core delivery journeys were redesigned to reduce cognitive load, clarify task assignment and execution, improve status visibility, and make navigation more consistent across Android and iOS experiences.

Connected logistics platform

The product linked rider, merchant, and administrative workflows through a full-stack architecture designed for real-time coordination. A web operations portal supported management activity while native mobile applications handled work in the field.

Scalable cloud and delivery foundation

The implementation used Angular for the operational web experience, Node.js services, Swift and Kotlin for native mobile applications, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and New Relic for performance monitoring and observability. These components supported continued release activity and operational visibility as the live service grew.

Stronger delivery coordination

Ingenuity also helped improve technical communication and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, reducing friction around product changes and making it easier to respond to operational feedback.

Evidence and outcomes

GoAmigo progressed from concept into a live delivery platform supporting real merchant and rider activity in the Philippines.

The combination of simpler rider journeys and a more reliable technical foundation gave the client a clearer way to coordinate delivery activity, respond to operational change, and continue improving the product after launch. The platform also demonstrated that a socially oriented product could be designed around accessibility without treating reliability and engineering quality as secondary concerns.

The engagement reflects Ingenuity’s ability to translate complex real-world operations into a product experience that is easier for frontline users to understand while still giving the business a scalable system behind them.

Business Outcomes

Higher System Reliability

Digital systems operate more consistently, recover more effectively, and create fewer service disruptions or production failures.

Scalable Digital Operations

Digital processes, systems, and teams can handle growth in users, transactions, complexity, or geography without proportional increases in friction or cost.
