Case Study
Edward Lynx Management Consulting
Ingenuity helped Sweden-based Edward Lynx Management Consulting translate its established leadership-development methodology into a mobile product designed to keep goals, feedback, reminders, and follow-up activities accessible between formal leadership engagements.
Edward Lynx already had a web-based leadership-development toolset supporting 360 feedback, progress tracking, management-team tools, and team-development programs. The opportunity was to make that methodology more accessible to leaders whose work moved continuously between meetings, teams, locations, and responsibilities.
The mobile experience needed to support performance reviews, goal setting, feedback, reminders, and follow-up activities without becoming a disconnected companion product. It had to fit the existing platform’s workflows, backend APIs, database structure, permission model, and long-term product direction.
Edward Lynx also needed a delivery partner capable of moving the work forward with limited day-to-day client involvement. The project therefore required product thinking, UX design, mobile engineering, backend/API planning, quality assurance, and delivery management to operate as one coordinated team.
Ingenuity began with requirements analysis and best-practice recommendations, then moved through discovery, interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, engineering, testing, documentation, and launch support.
Wireframing was used to establish the mobile information architecture and core interaction patterns before engineering commitments hardened. This created a clearer basis for reviewing workflows, reducing avoidable rework, and aligning the mobile experience with the existing Edward Lynx platform.
The team planned the application as a native iOS and Android experience supported by backend APIs built around PHP, Laravel, and MySQL. Architecture work considered the relationship among the native apps, existing web platform, backend database, user roles, notifications, and the server environment.
Delivery was managed through Scrum with sprint planning, iterative implementation, daily coordination, sprint demonstrations, user acceptance testing, and retrospectives. The multidisciplinary team brought together mobile developers, web/backend development, design, testing, and Scrum-based delivery management.
The product extended Edward Lynx’s leadership-development services into a mobile experience designed for use in the moments between formal reviews, workshops, and coaching activities.
Core capabilities included account and profile management, role-based permissions, customer-specific white-label presentation, development plans and goals, goal due-date reminders, 360-feedback requests and tracking, feedback reminders, push notifications, and follow-up activities.
Ingenuity also planned the API endpoints and data flows needed to connect profiles, accounts, feedback, responses, development plans, reports, white-label configuration, notifications, mobile push, and email with the existing web platform and backend.
The result was not treated as a standalone mobile interface. The application was designed as a new channel into an existing leadership-development product ecosystem, with shared data, workflows, permissions, and enterprise-client requirements.
Ingenuity helped Edward Lynx define, design, and build the foundation for a mobile leadership-development product that extended its existing web-based toolset into a more accessible, on-the-go experience.
The engagement produced a structured product direction for bringing development plans, goals, 360 feedback, reminders, notifications, and follow-up activities closer to leaders’ day-to-day work while preserving integration with the existing platform.
By combining UX strategy, native mobile development, backend API planning, testing, documentation, and launch support, the project gave Edward Lynx a clearer technical and product foundation for evolving its methodology into a scalable digital product for corporate clients.
